The Animation Ecosystem is led by The Animation Workshop at VIA University College. For over 30 years, it has been a driving force in educating and mentoring generations of artists and creatives in animation and visualisation. Today, it is recognised as one of Europe’s most respected centres for animated storytelling and visual communication.
The ecosystem is developed in close collaboration with Creative Viborg, the national hub for the visual industry and a support centre for Media Arts companies, alongside the companies Beyond Horizon and Hydralab, and the associated partner Viborg Kommune.
Within the AVENUE project, the Animation Ecosystem focuses on continuously addressing emerging challenges and skill mismatches in the animation field. Through ongoing, practice-based research, it provides relevant and immediate upskilling opportunities, fosters excellence in vocational education and training, supports innovation, and promotes inclusion across the creative sector.
