The ANIDOX Lab Residency is a professional development programme for animation and documentary creatives working at the intersection of non-fiction storytelling and visual innovation.

Through online seminars, individual mentoring, and an onsite residency in Viborg, participants will develop their project from early concept through to narrative structure, visual direction, and pitch materials.

The programme welcomes projects exploring animation, documentary, emerging media, XR, and interdisciplinary storytelling formats.

Applications must be submitted individually.

The residency is intended for professionals ready to challenge their practice and explore new approaches to animated documentary storytelling.

Application Guidelines

How to apply

The application includes:

Short written responses

  • Project description (approx. 500 characters)
  • Professional background (approx. 300 characters)
  • Motivation statement (approx. 250 characters)

One PDF document including:

  • Concept outline and synopsis
  • Director’s and/or producer’s statement
  • Short bio and CV
  • Links to previous works or works-in-progress
  • Relevant visual materials and concept development images

The residency is conducted in English.
