The ecosystem is driven by the Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet, a national leader in talent and skills development, supporting the growth and long-term sustainability of Ireland’s cultural and creative industries. It is further strengthened by its industry partner, Studio Meala, which contributes deep production expertise, industry insight, and a strong commitment to nurturing emerging talent and driving innovation in storytelling.
Within the AVENUE project, the Visual Storytelling Ecosystem focuses on addressing emerging challenges and skill mismatches in visual narrative across animation, games, XR, virtual production, film and other digital media. Through ongoing, practice-based research, it delivers timely and relevant upskilling opportunities, fosters excellence in vocational education and training, supports innovation, and promotes inclusive participation across the broader creative sector.
